I am honoured to be leading our Women’s Program into the highest level of football on offer in the State and acknowledge the commitment the Club have given towards establishing junior and youth female programs — ensuring the Club has a strong and sustainable process for developing female footballers capable of playing at the top level.
This level of commitment has resulted in increased female player registrations — now one third of the Clubs total registrations in 2017.
The current Senior playing group are committed, determined and extremely excited about participating in the Women’s Super League in 2018. Many of them made their Senior debut in the 2017 Southern Championship and the players are well aware of the challenges to be faced in making the step up to a strong Statewide competition — and are motivated by such challenges.
Pre-Season for us started on 31 October and it has been great seeing all the returning players along with a number of new players keen to be part of such an exciting year ahead.
Any players aspiring and committed to play at the highest level, along with those looking to play for fitness, social and football development reasons as part of our Championship team — are most welcome to get in touch with the Club by contacting Women’s Football Coordinator Carolyn Ferrier on 0488 596 950 or via email at email@example.com.
Training leading up to Christmas is every Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm, with the final session on Thursday, 14 December 2017 (hit the link to the training schedule below).
After the Christmas/New Year break, training will resume on Tuesday, 9 January 2018 and will continue on each Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00pm to 7:30pm and Sundays from 2:30pm to 4:00pm in the lead up to the Summer Cup Competition.
