Hello everyone,

Firstly, I would like to wish our Under 20s all the best in their Statewide Cup Final tonight at KGV Football Park. Please get out and support our lads if you can. Unfortunately, many of us including myself, will be unable to attend as we will be on their way to Devonport for the Cup.

We are sure the Under 20s coached by Chris Oddie will give a good account of themselves and do their Club proud.

It is a very strange weekend in Hobart as I am sure there must be hundreds of Tasmanians heading to Brazil v Argentina in Melbourne.

A reminder to those who are attending to take of picture of yourself at the game and send it back to my mobile please (0417 597 643). There is a terrific ball up for grabs for the best pic!

We have four teams travelling to Devonport this weekend. To those families who are jumping in your cars, drive safely and take care. Our players are very lucky to have a group of very experienced coaches looking after them this weekend.

Thank you to our coaches who are volunteering their time:

Under 12 Coach - Dale McKay (C Licence)

Under 13 Coach - Matt Tadd (C Licence)

Under 14 Coach - Ned Clarke (B Licence)

Under 16 Coach - Ken Morton (A Licence)

I don’t believe many teams would have a group of such experienced coaches at a youth tournament. Each team has a minimum of four games against Northern and Southern opposition. We are sharing a meal on Saturday night and there are over 90 of us attending. A great club experience!

Finally, I would encourage all club members to get out to KGV on Monday to watch the final of the prestigious Lakoseljac Cup Final between Glenorchy Knights and Olympia FC Warriors. I wish both these great clubs a terrific final and I am sure whichever wins will go on to represent Tasmania proudly in the round of 32 of the FFA Cup. I sincerely hope the winner gets a home draw so we can watch some top flight football in Hobart!

Have a great long weekend everyone, enjoy Dark Mofo, Brazil v Argentina, The Devonport Cup and the Lakoseljac Cup Final and spending time with your families.
