The Club very much appreciates Julie sending on this photo and the associated information, as her father unfortunately passed away before he was able to.

Mr Tate had included the following information with the photo.

My mother's two brothers, Arthur and Jack Stevens played soccer at South Hobart prior to World War 1.

Jack did not return and I assume that Arthur did not play again as he was badly wounded in France. He must have been still involved with the Club to have had their 1921 team photo. My mother passed it on to me many years ago. It was notated as "No 2, South Hobart Soccer Team September 1921".

As your memorabilia was destroyed when the pavilion was burnt down, I thought that the Club may appreciate a copy of the photo for a possible new display.

Unfortunately there are no player names written on the back of the photo and we would love to be able to put names to these faces if at all possible. If anyone can help, please contact us at
